1. Communicating with Amazon.com
Be sure to check the Seller Announcement Board daily to stay current on
scheduled maintenance updates and other important information. We also
post important messages related to new feature launches and helpful tips
for the seller community on our Seller Success Board. You can find our
announcement boards by logging into your Seller Account and clicking the
links on the left side of the page.
Many Internet Service Providers and private e-mail accounts use
aggressive spam filters that may inadvertently block some of our e-mails
before they reach your inbox. In addition, many free email programs
(such as Hotmail or Yahoo) may send our messages to your bulk or junk
mail folder unless you add our address to your Address Book. Please
take the time now to add payments-messages@amazon.com to your personal
address book in your e-mail program.
To avoid missing any new orders, you should check your Amazon Payments
account at least once a day for any newly completed transactions. This
is the best way to ensure you don't overlook any recent orders because
of missing e-mail notifications that might have been blocked by SPAM
filters. Also, this ensures that any order notification e-mail you do
receive from Amazon.com is legitimate. You can manage your payments
account and your transactions by visiting:
www.amazon.com/seller-account.
Amazon.com will never e-mail or call a customer and ask that they
disclose or verify their Amazon.com password, credit card, or banking
account number. Such information should only be submitted when
completing an order on Amazon.com, registering for Amazon Payments,
contacting Amazon.com directly, or when making updates to the Your
Account or Seller Account areas on our site. You may read more about
conducting secure transactions with us at:
www.amazon.com/help/security

3. Receiving Payment and Creating Refunds
Amazon Payments charges your buyer's credit card and deposits the funds
in your Payments account. Funds deposited in your Payments account are
automatically transferred to your choice of disbursement every 14 days.
Subject to certain restrictions, you have two options: typically, you may
either purchase an Amazon Gift Certificate or transfer the balances to your
checking account. After your first 14-day billing period has passed, you may
manually claim your funds once every 24-hours by clicking the "Transfer now"
link in your Payments account.
Please note that whether or not you disburse funds from a sale,
you are still required to ship the item within two business
days of order notification. You can manage your Amazon Payments account
and view your transactions at:
www.amazon.com/seller-account
As the seller, you may create a refund through Amazon Payments if you
and your buyer agree that it is necessary to do so. We have created
online tools for you to do this easily and quickly. For help with
creating refunds and other payments issues, go to:
www.amazon.com/seller-help/payments

4. Listing and Canceling Items, Managing Inventory, and Fulfillment
Amazon.com makes listing an item a snap. Visit www.amazon.com/sell to
list an item on our site in 60 seconds.
Any listing you create is available for purchase by buyers on our site
within minutes. However, there may be a delay of up to several hours
before your listed item appears in Your Seller Account.
To cancel a listing, go to your seller account at
www.amazon.com/seller-account and click the "Open" link next to the
platform you are selling on (Marketplace or zShops). Find the open
listing that you want to cancel and click "Edit" and simply follow the
instructions for canceling.
For additional help with listing items and managing your inventory
please visit:
www.amazon.com/seller-help/manage-listings
When an Amazon Marketplace sale is completed, our system automatically
sends you e-mail notification from Amazon.com with the words
"Sold, ship now" in the subject line. This e-mail is your notification that
the buyer's credit card has been successfully charged for an order and
135: |that it's time to start the shipment process. While the e-mail will
include all the information you need to fulfill the order (and a packing
slip you can clip and include with your shipment), you should confirm
the transaction by logging on to your seller account at
www.amazon.com/seller-account and clicking the "Sold" link for
Amazon.com Marketplace. For more information, please visit:
www.amazon.com/seller-help/fulfillment

5. Interacting with Other Sellers
Amazon.com has created forums where all sellers can interact with each
other, swap tips and insights and share experiences. New sellers can
ask questions of experienced sellers, and everyone can discuss firsthand
how exciting it is to sell on Amazon.com. You can view all of these
boards at:
www.amazonsellercommunity.com

6. Seller Best Practices
Amazon.com was founded with a vision of providing an extraordinary
experience for buyers. Customers have come to expect this quality of
service--that is what keeps them coming back for more purchases. As a
seller, you now control the same experience for your buyers. To help
guide you, we have put together a list of best practices used by our
most successful sellers. These include the following:
* Keep checking for new sales at your Amazon Payments account online at
www.amazon.com/seller-account.
* Check the seller announcement and discussion boards before contacting
Amazon.com about a particular issue--you may quickly find what you're
looking for at www.amazonsellercommunity.com.
* Provide high-quality customer service, which includes handling refunds
and returns in a timely manner. Refund within 48 hours an order that
you are unable to fulfill.
* Always ship within 2 business days of order notification. (That's
required!)
* Know your feedback rating and constantly strive to improve it - this
is one of the most important metrics that buyers use when making
purchasing decisions. You can view your feedback by logging into your
seller account.
* Review shipping resources at
www.amazon.com/seller-help/shipping-resources.
* Review our shipping and packaging guidelines at
www.amazon.com/seller-help/ship-pack-guide.
* Send buyers a ship confirmation e-mail after you ship their order, and
include tracking or delivery confirmation numbers if they are
available. Also, encourage buyers to leave feedback at
www.amazon.com/feedback.
